World Book Day saw the whole of the Junior School celebrating a love of reading. We launched a Readathon, for which girls from Year 2 to Year 6 are invited to gain sponsorship and raise money for the charity ‘Read for Good’.
Money for this wonderful charity was also raised during the day, as the girls visited the Second Hand Book Fair. The Year 6 girls loved reading stories to the First School girls and everyone enjoyed guessing the member of staff from a childhood photo, coupled with their favourite childhood book. And, of course, there was a wonderful array of outfits to admire, as girls and staff alike dressed up as book characters.
