Into Senior School

We know that the transfer to secondary school is a very important step in our students’ – as well as their parents’ lives – and that it brings new challenges and many exciting new opportunities.

At North London we provide a friendly, supportive and nurturing environment to enable pupils to find their feet and settle in quickly. We attract all types of personality, and there is no typical ‘North Londoner’. Your child might be shy when she joins us, but whilst here she will be given every opportunity to develop a relaxed self-confidence, and make friends for life.

“There are so many curricular and extra-curricular activities to get involved in and every girl finds their true identity. Every day you meet new friends. We are all a community here at NLCS.” – Year 7 student

Year 7 Activities

In the Summer term before starting, all new Year 7 North Londoners and their parents will be invited to two welcome events, an induction afternoon in June and an orientation event in the Autumn term. Each new student is assigned a buddy from the year above who they are introduced to in June and are encouraged to meet up with over the summer.

Students are encouraged to try out new things and take advantage of the extra-curricular activities on offer, and there are more than 100 different clubs and societies to satisfy all interests and curiosities. Early on in the Autumn term the students take part in a challenge day, where the students can get to know each other outside school.

“I have taken part in so many things, trying out new activities I’ve never done before. It has been great fun and I can’t wait to move further into the year. I have already made fantastic friends, who have supported me from the first day I arrived at school.” – Year 8 student
