North London Collegiate School Sixth Form offers a thoughtful, energising bridge between school and university for young women aged 16 to 18.

As one of the leading independent girls schools in London, our Sixth Form brings together ambitious scholarship, a rich co-curriculum and a quietly confident sense of purpose, rooted in a long tradition of intellectual curiosity.

Our campus gives students space to think, talk and try new things, while remaining within easy reach of central London. Students follow one of two world class pathways: the International Baccalaureate Diploma, or a carefully tailored programme of three or four A levels, typically complemented by an EPQ or additional qualifications that reflect their interests and aspirations. Small classes, teachers who are genuine subject experts and a culture that treats questioning as a strength help students to move well beyond the confines of any specification, and examination outcomes in both IB and A level regularly place NLCS among the most academically successful sixth forms in the UK; this year we are the top IB school in the country, second globally.

Life in the Sixth Form is shaped as much by exposure to diverse thinking as it is by formal lessons, whether through student led societies, Olympiads and academic symposia, music and drama, or a rich programme of sport, service and social impact. Each year, over 250+ visiting speakers help our students to think well beyond the subjects they are taught. Individual guidance on universities and careers begins early in Year 12, with experienced advisers supporting applications to competitive courses including Oxbridge, Medicine, Law and leading international universities. Above all, NLCS Sixth Form is a place where our students deepen their love of learning, build lifelong friendships and begin to shape the futures they want.
