RESULTS
Our focus on subject passion and academic excellence, underpinned by outstanding pastoral care and enlivened by an outstanding extra-curricular programme of events, courses and external speakers, enables NLCS to remain consistently one of the most successful schools in the country.
NLCS students study a particularly diverse curriculum, which enables them to follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme or to take a combination of three or four A Level subjects.
This dedication to the uniquely rich educational experience offered at NLCS, that stretches and challenges students beyond the curriculum, has resulted in our Year 13 students being successful in securing their university offers. These include twenty-one students in their first year at Oxford and Cambridge, and eight studying overseas at US universities Brown; Columbia; Princeton; Yale, University of Southern California, UC Berkley and Notre Dame University.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE 2023
We are delighted to announce another most impressive set of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma results. The 2023 results, published on 6th July, show our students achieving an average Diploma score of 41.5 points.
The school has again achieved an average score in excess of 40 points, comfortably within the top range of marks available, and the range of institutions at which students have secured offers includes Yale in the US and Oxford and Cambridge in the UK.
The national and international picture will become clearer over the coming weeks, but we are confident that these results will underscore North London Collegiate’s status as one of the very highest-achieving IB schools worldwide.
These results are testament to the success of the talent, hard work and commitment of the students and staff.

GCSE AND IGCSE 2023
This year we celebrated an excellent set of GCSE results. Overall, our Year 11 students achieved 94% grade 8/9, with 99% of all grades awarded 7/8/9 . An impressive 39 students in a cohort of 113 achieved a grade 9 in all subject.
This year, national grading standards have returned to normal pre-pandemic levels, so the students’ achievements at NLCS are all the more impressive. This is a wonderful achievement and puts our students in an excellent position as they begin their Sixth Form studies.
A-LEVEL AND PRE-U 2023
We also celebrated an excellent set of A Level and Pre U results. Overall, our students achieved 77% A*/A (or equivalent) and an impressive 38% A*. Almost half the year group (49%) were awarded A*/A in all subjects.
We were also delighted that 59% received an A* for their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
Additionally, these stellar grades have ensured that 93% of students were accepted by their first choice or insurance choice of university. We wish all our Year 13 leavers the best of luck in their future endeavours.

University Destinations
Students at NLCS are academically ambitious, meaning that they aim to apply to some of the top universities the world has to offer. We have an outstanding record of supporting students in achieving their top choice of university.
In 2022, 21 students took up places at Oxford and Cambridge universities, and 8 students secured places at Ivy League universities or equivalents (including Yale, Brown and Princeton).
“At Sixth Form, I chose to pursue the IB as I found it difficult to narrow down my subject choices. I chose to apply to the US because I really appreciate how I will be encouraged to continue exploring academically with a liberal arts focused degree. I will be able to continue pursuing multiple interests deeply and thoroughly, and even try new subject areas.”
– Lara Zakaria, Year 13 IB student
We are proud of all the destinations that our students move on to following their time at NLCS. Universities recognise the academic excellence and passion that our students have, as well as the leadership qualities and confidence that they display. We provide the strongest possible foundation for students to achieve extraordinary things in their time beyond school, and are always delighted to celebrate such success when they come back to visit us as part of the ONL community.
