Huge congratulations to this year’s cohort of GCSE students who achieved a spectacular set of results. We are so proud of the dedication and hard work of students and staff.
Out of a year group of 113 students, 37 achieved a full set of the highest grade (9) in all subjects, and 80 students achieved all 8-9 grades. This year, national grading standards have returned to normal pre-pandemic levels, so the students’ achievements at NLCS are all the more impressive.
Incoming Headmistress, Vicky Bingham congratulated the students and staff on their stellar results. “It was wonderful to spend time with students and parents this morning celebrating such superb results. What an uplifting first day at NLCS! These results are the fruits of much hard work on the part of our students and the expertise and commitment of our teachers. I am looking forward to watching our students flourish as Sixth Form students and helping me and my colleagues lead the intellectual and co-curricular life of the school. I am very much looking forward to the start of term and to meeting the NLCS community.”
Mr Tosh, Head of Sixth Form, is delighted to welcome our current Year 11 students into the Sixth Form this year. “Having previously worked with these students as Head of Middle School, I am particularly excited to join them again in their final two years of study. Their fantastic grades bode well for their position at the head of the school, modelling their fantastic approach to their studies for their younger peers as they embark on their A-level and IB studies. I am sure they will embrace the leadership of the younger students in their roles at the head of our wonderful array of societies and sports teams later in the year.”
