We are delighted to share the wonderful news that the first-ever NLCS Giving Day has been a resounding success, thanks to your generosity and support.
The Giving Day, which took place over 36 hours, saw an incredible collective response from parents, students, ONLs, staff and the wider community. The campaign aimed to raise funds for two key projects: the Bernice McCabe Bursary Fund and the IDEAS Hub capital campaign.
We are thrilled to announce that the Giving Day received 336 donations, with many people making their first-ever gift to NLCS. Together, we raised an incredible £178,091, which far exceeded our expectations. The money raised will go towards providing more opportunities for talented students who might not otherwise be able to attend NLCS as well as helping us build a state-of-the-art IDEAS Hub for current students and the wider community. This space will provide an opportunity for local schools to compete in academic competitions and emphasise the importance of collaboration.
“The spirit of giving back and community was on full display, and we couldn’t be prouder of our NLCS family. Your generosity and commitment to the School’s mission of providing an exceptional education to students from all backgrounds are truly inspiring”.
Dr Hazel Bagworth-Mann, Interim Headmistress
We also want to take the opportunity to express our gratitude to the Big Six, Canonaid and the Parents’ Guild whom all worked hard to make the Giving Day a success. Their enthusiasm and passion for the School were evident in the various challenges and events that they helped organise.
Once again, thank you for your incredible support of the NLCS Giving Day. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to our community and for helping us provide transformative educational experiences to our students.
