Students in Year 9 became filmmakers as they took part in the One Day Film School!
After a morning session of honing their skills in a variety of areas including, Film History, Fight Choreography, Camera Techniques and Screenwriting it was then time to take on the challenge of the 10 shot film. Students were tasked with crafting silent films with music, each telling a classic narrative.
Following the premieres our judges including Mrs Bingham and representatives from the Young Film Academy had the difficult task of deciding who would take home the NLCS Oscars!
After much deliberation Best Motion Picture went to “Like a leaf”, Best Performance was awarded to Ella in “Revenge & Remorse” and Best Technical achievement was won by “Falling out of love”.
“Like a leaf” will now be entered into the 2024 10 shot film awards which recognises filmmaking excellence in 125 leading UK schools.
