The school’s ski team has wrapped up an impressive competition at the recent British Schoolgirls competition in Flaine, showcasing their skills and determination on the slopes.
On the 26th of January, 11 students travelled to Flaine for the event, marking a significant milestone as it was the first time we could enter three teams.
All our skiers delivered exceptional performances, including a fantastic effort in the parallel slalom event, where we reached the quarter-finals. The races spanned two days, with competitors tackling both slalom and giant slalom courses. Despite somewhat icy conditions, the team persevered, demonstrating their resilience and talent.
In the U14 unregistered giant slalom event, we secured 1st and 2nd place, while in the U14 non-registered slalom, we placed 2nd and 3rd. In the combined competition, our team secured 1st and 2nd place, with the NLCS B team also achieving 3rd place in the B team category.
Congratulations to all our students for their outstanding performances. Each skier’s dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and their achievements are a testament to their commitment on the slopes. Well done to all the students who took part!
