Junior school students had an unforgettable experience in the Young Voices event at the O2.
On 23rd January, NLCS Young Singers had the privilege of participating in the Young Voices concert at the O2 Arena, joining 8,000 children in the world’s largest children’s choir. This spectacular event was set against the backdrop of a 7-piece live band, professional backing singers, and the direction of an internationally acclaimed conductor. The experience was electric, as the voices of thousands of young singers harmonised in unison, creating an atmosphere that was unforgettable.
Young Voices is a unique initiative that offers children the opportunity to develop their musical talents, gain confidence, and perform in some of the UK’s most iconic venues. The concert at the O2 Arena was a celebration of music, unity, and the incredible potential of young performers. For the NLCS Young Singers, it was a moment of pride, being part of such a large-scale and dynamic musical event.
This experience also highlighted the power of music to bring people together, transcending age and background to create something truly extraordinary.
Reflecting on the day, Mrs Cox said: “Nothing can prepare you for the sound of 8000 children singing together, it was definitely one of the most exciting and memorable musical experiences our girls have ever been part of.”
