The Young Shakespeare Company’s interactive production of Hamlet brought the classic play to life for our students, with a spooky ghost and a fun ‘play within a play’ scene, helping them get to grips with the plot and themes.
Years 5 and 6 were treated to a lively and engaging performance of Hamlet by the Young Shakespeare Company. The production was full of surprises, with a ghostly appearance by Hamlet’s father and a clever twist on the ‘play within a play’ scene that kept everyone interested. As always, the girls enjoyed getting involved in the action, playing characters and taking part in the performance. This hands-on approach made it easier for them to follow the story and understand the main themes of the play, such as revenge and betrayal.
The visit from the Young Shakespeare Company is always a highlight of the school year, and this year was no exception. The students came away with a much clearer idea of what Hamlet is about, and many were keen to learn more about Shakespeare’s work.
