Year 9 students joined Sacred Heart College to explore life after death through debate and discussion, examining ideas from philosophy, theology, and science.
Is it reasonable to believe in life after death? This profound question invites exploration from multiple perspectives, including Philosophy, Theology, and Science, each offering different reasons and arguments to consider.
On Thursday 5 June, 20 Year 9 students from North London Collegiate School joined their peers from Sacred Heart Language College for an engaging philosophy workshop focused on this very topic. The students examined and critiqued advanced source materials designed to challenge their thinking and deepen their understanding. Working collaboratively in the Ideas Hub’s new learning spaces, they explored complex ideas in small groups before coming together in the Atrium to share their insights and engage in a lively, respectful debate.
Reflecting on the day, Mr Holt said: “It was especially rewarding to see meaningful interactions between students of different schools, faiths, and backgrounds, fostering a rich and diverse exchange of views.”
