This week Year 7 spent three days at Calshot Activity Centre (Southampton) – a place that sparks at you like a buzz of energy with a variety of different opportunities and skills which can be learnt.
We took part in many activities including Skiing and Ringos {which were done on a material called astroturf which has a similar feeling to snow.} In skiing, we learnt many new techniques and tricks. Alongside, we took part in Ringos. In Ringos, we went down together using a rope which was attached to our donut. When we spun alone, we were faster than when we spun in groups. It was so fun, just like the rest of the activities. Initiative was another inspiring activity as we developed our teamwork and cooperating skills, taking in time consuming challenges. Overall it was a fun and exciting time where we were challenged in many ways, made new friends and bonded as a year group.
