As we begin the Summer Term, we are delighted to celebrate our outgoing Big Six and thank them for the energy, commitment and integrity they have brought to their roles. Throughout their time, they have led with purpose, set a powerful example for others, and enriched the life of the school in countless ways.

We are now excited to welcome our new Senior Committee: Chloé (Senior Student), Gabriella, Lia, Siya, Sujena and Zara. Stepping confidently into leadership, they will help shape the year ahead with energy, ambition and purpose. Learn more about the incoming Big Six below.

Hi everyone, I’m Chloé and I am really looking forward to being your senior student!

I study French, Philosophy, History and English at A- Level, and I hope to study history at university. I love how busy and exciting school life is at NLCS, and attending societies, such as history society, is always a highlight of my week! At school, I also help run ‘Writer’s room’, our school creative writing club, and I especially enjoy seeing younger students grow their love for literature. I am also passionate about singing, dancing and drama, and have really loved taking part in school productions!

My favourite way to spend my free time is by taking walks around London with my sisters and discovering all the best spots! I also love baking (as my philosophy class would know), and this year I learned to knit. I’m really excited to get to know you all and I look forward to the year ahead!

Hi everyone, I’m Gabriella and I’m so excited to be part of the Big Six! I have been at NLCS since I was four and have loved growing up in such a warm, vibrant, and supportive community. I am studying Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Spanish at A-level, and hope to study Natural Sciences or Biochemistry at university.

I love getting involved in all areas of school life, from performing in concerts and productions to competing in cross-country competitions and contributing to science and language magazines. I also enjoy participating in Jewish Society events, leading charitable initiatives, and mentoring younger students in Biology and Spanish. I always love going for walks with friends around our beautiful school grounds!

When I was younger, I was very scared of the water, but now swimming is one of my greatest passions. I also love running, playing the piano and saxophone, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all and making a positive difference at school!

Hi everyone, I’m Lia and I’m super excited to be one of your Big Six this year!

I’m an IB student taking History, Maths and English at higher level, and German, Economics and ESS at standard level. I hope to study History at university. We are so fortunate at NLCS to have many amazing opportunities to participate in different activities. But most of all, it is our spirit and community that make NLCS special.

I love writing. I have written for the News Canon for as long as I can remember, as well as for our satirical Brown Army magazine and our history journal. This year, I’ve also taken up debating, which is great fun. I particularly enjoy taking part in the school’s vibrant music scene and play the violin in our orchestras.

I already know many of you and I’m excited to get to know you all better. Do come and say hi, and I hope that we will be able to bring you lots more school fun and laughs in the coming year!

Hi everyone, I’m Siya, and I’m thrilled to be a member of your new Big Six!

I’m an IB student, taking Geography, Economics and English as my higher levels, and ESS, Italian and Maths as my standard levels. I especially love Geography, and anything to do with entrepreneurship. I have the pleasure of running the Intrepid Geographer magazine, LaunchPad (Our NLCS Entrepreneurship club) and Calming Waves (our meditation club). I also love playing lacrosse and representing the skiing team! Outside of school, I run my own podcast, where I speak to incredible female entrepreneurs, and have started a few businesses along the way.

When I’m not busy with all of that, you’ll probably find me at the piano, singing to R&B or Bollywood. I also love travelling and exploring new cultures and food. I can’t wait to get to know more of you and help make this year memorable.

Hey everyone, I’m Sujena from your new Big Six!

I currently take Maths, Physics, Further Maths and Economics at A level and hope to study Physics at university. I adore acting, having performed in 7 drama productions at school, debuting with my comedic “what a strange moss-covered rock” scene in Anansi. I play for the badminton squad and brought pride to NLCS through my nationally highest performance in the Intermediate Physics Challenge. This year I loved being Editor in Chief of The CFD (Economics newspaper), as I had the opportunity to collaborate with an awesome team of students.

Outside of school, I love to swim and recently, I completed my diploma grade in Carnatic music (a beautiful South Indian vocal art form I started learning 12 years ago). In my free time, I enjoy composing poems and raps, cycling on wildly unfamiliar routes and yapping with my friends for hours on end!

As your Big Six I can’t wait to bring innovative ideas to school life – so start stretching that jaw now because you’ve got a lot to look forward to laughing for this year!

Hi everyone, I’m Zara and I’m so excited to be a member of this year’s Big Six!

I am taking Maths, History, Politics and German at A Level and I hope to study History at university. I love taking part in all areas of school life, from concerts and sports matches to attending MUN conferences and delivering History talks! I particularly enjoy singing and playing clarinet, saxophone and double bass in nine different music ensembles at school. Playing lacrosse has also been a major highlight of my time at NLCS! In addition to this, I love participating in and chairing MUN conferences, which combines so many of my extracurricular and academic interests. Outside of school, I attend the Royal Academy of Music on Saturdays, which allows me to pursue my passion for music even further.

In my spare time, I really enjoy running and spending time with friends. I also love reading and visiting my favourite bookshops, such as Daunt Books! My current favourite books are The Secret History, 1984 and Pachinko. I can’t wait to get to know everyone in the school community and I’m really looking forward to the year ahead!
