Last night’s Spring Concert was a spectacular celebration of the music-making that has happened across the term.
As ever, the standard of music-making was incredibly high, incredibly inclusive whilst also highlighting the depth of musical talent at the school. Involving almost 200 students, we heard a huge variety of music, including the “Sound of Music” from our Middle School Flute Ensemble, Grieg’s “Holberg Suite” from our Sinfonia and Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t she lovely”. The evening concluded with a superb performance of the first movement of Mozart’s G major Violin Concerto, featuring Year 13 Student Antonia alongside our Chamber Orchestra. Thanks go to our Music Department for directing their groups so superbly and their dedication across the term. We’d also like to thank all the pupil performers too, but would like to say particular thank you to our outgoing Year 13 students, for whom this would have been their last end of term concert.
We hope last night’s concert, and indeed all the musical events they have been involved in will provide them with long-lasting memories they will take with them well into the future.
