We were thrilled to welcome back 23 Old North Londoners (ONLs) to NLCS for our second UCAS Fair, held in the Atrium of the Ideas Hub.
The event proved to be another great success, and we are so grateful to all the ONLs who generously gave up their time to support our current students.
Our Year 12 pupils were genuinely excited to meet with former pupils and hear first-hand about their experiences at university. The ONLs, who are now studying a wide array of courses – including Ancient History, Medicine, European Social and Political Studies, Law and Computer Science, among many others – offered valuable insights and advice that we know will help guide our students as they begin their own UCAS journeys.
It was inspiring to see the buzz of conversation as pupils moved between tables, asking thoughtful questions and gaining a real understanding of what life is like at university, from the academic challenges to the social and personal aspects of student life.
After the fair, we were delighted to host our ONLs for a cream tea on the terraces of the Old House, where they enjoyed reconnecting with former teachers and reminiscing about their time at NLCS.
Events like these are a powerful reminder of the strength of the NLCS community. We are immensely proud of our ONLs and hugely appreciative of their continued willingness to support and inspire the next generation of NLCS pupils.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success – we look forward to welcoming even more ONLs back for next year’s UCAS Fair.
