North London Collegiate School has been recognised by The Week Independent School Guide as the best in the category for International Baccalaureate (IB) results, after achieving an outstanding average of 41.5 points per pupil in 2023.
Following the announcement of our 2024 results, it is evident that our students have upheld the exceptional standard of previous IB achievements. Their consistency and commitment demonstrates the strength of our academic programs and the wonderful support they receive from our teaching staff.
Celebrating the accolade, Dr Henry Linscott, Director of IB said: “What an honour for our IB provision to receive such an accolade! It is a great testament to the dedication and expertise of our staff and the exceptional efforts of our students. Our IB students punch well above their weight and are already formidable young women who stand out for their commitment, kindness, enthusiasm and curiosity.”
In addition, Headmistress, Mrs Victoria Bingham said: “NLCS is a centre of excellence for the IB, with point scores significantly above the world average year on year. In 2024 we mark our 20th anniversary of introducing the IB. The IB gives our students the opportunity to develop a wide range of their human intelligence, as well as providing stimulating opportunities for independent research. The course is balanced and holistic as well as academically rigorous, with voluntary service, physical exercise, and a creative pursuit compulsory elements of the Diploma Programme. The curriculum courses are so stimulating and provide students with a well-rounded intellectual education.”
