NLCS U11 ECF Girls Ch 25.1.26

Both Under 11 and Under 19 teams secure third place in highly competitive national semifinals to book their places in the Finals.

NLCS chess players delivered an outstanding performance at the ECF National Girls’ Schools Chess Championships, with both the Under 11 A and Under 19 A teams finishing an impressive third in their respective sections.

Competing against 56 teams, the Under 11 A team demonstrated skill, composure and strategic maturity beyond their years to secure third place overall. In the Under 19 competition, the A team matched this success, placing third out of 47 teams in a fiercely contested field. Both results earned the teams qualification for the National Finals, awarded to the top eight teams in each semifinal.

These achievements reflect the players’ dedication across a demanding day of high-level competition.

Congratulations to Dora, Tara, Pranika, Freya, Ellabee and Aayra, who represented NLCS superbly as part of the Under 11 team, and well done to all the girls who competed with determination for the school.
