NLCS choirs travelled to Singapore earlier in February, joining our sister schools for the inaugural NLCS Music Festival.
NLCS Singapore did a fabulous job of hosting this new event which we hope to make biennial going forward. Having landed on the evening of 6th February, checking into the lovely Momentus Hotel Alexandra and dinner were our priority. Early on the Friday morning, our students were thrust into two days of intensive rehearsals, collaborating with and getting to know musicians from the other schools. Friday evening ended with a party and Saturday evening included an informal sharing concert with soloists from each group volunteering to perform for the assembly. Final day on Sunday brought us to the Festival Concert which closed the very first NLCS Music Festival. The music was the raison d’etre however, incredibly enriching were the opportunities for students and staff across the schools to come together to share talents and make new friends.
