Well done to the NLCS girls for participating in the English Chess Federation (ECF) National Girls Schools Championships held at St Catherine’s School, Bramley, on the weekend of 28th & 29th March.
The Under 11 Team came 2nd from the 10 finalists, a whisker away from being national champions!

This is a fantastic achievement at national level, and we are incredibly proud of the girls for their hard work, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition. They represented the school brilliantly and should be very proud of what they have accomplished.
Well done to these girls for getting through the 56 team semi-final in January to qualify, and then compete for two days against the best girls schools in the country.
