The spring term saw the return of the Lower School Poetry Competition, with all girls in the Lower School learning a poem over half term and performing it for their Colour Teams upon their return to school.
Poems performed this year included some by modern favourites, such as Michael Rosen and Joseph Coelho, and some classics from poets such as Margaret McBride Hoss. Each Colour Team sent forward two finalists, who performed their poems for the entire Lower School and a panel of judges, which included former members of staff Caroline Gerstein, Barbara Ruben and Leonie Marks. Congratulations to all the finalists, who made the judges’ decision very difficult.
