The Spring Term has been a fantastic period for Junior sport, filled with a wide range of activities, achievements and plenty of enjoyment throughout.

Netball has undoubtedly been a standout this term, with a busy fixture list that saw the girls competing regularly. Their commitment to training and teamwork resulted in strong performances and well-earned victories

The highlight of the season was the U11 IAPS Netball Competition, where the team demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience, and confidence under pressure. Their outstanding play led them to remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament and qualifying for the National Finals.

We are very much looking forward to the finals at Kent College early in the summer term. We wish the girls the best of luck.

Alongside netball, the junior school have raised the profile of football within the school. Increased opportunities through curriculum lessons and fixtures have allowed pupils to develop their skills and confidence in the sport.

The year 5 and 6’s thoroughly enjoyed a weekend away at St George’s Park, where the England teams train. Taking part in a tournament and all coming away with a medal.

The annual Lower School Swimming Gala was another highlight of the term, bringing energy, excitement and colour team spirit to the forefront. Pupils competed with determination across a range of races and it was lovely to see the girls support and cheer on one another in their colour teams. After a closely contested event, it was the Pink Team who emerged victorious, celebrating a well-deserved win.

Dance has also played an important role in the sporting life of the school this term, with our fantastic Dance Display at the start of term, where the junior girls performed their circus dance. The Dance squad also took part in the ‘Great Big Dance Off’, showcasing creativity and confidence in their performance. The girls loved the opportunity to perform on stage and express themselves through movement.
