Students explored where their food comes from, considered how to reduce waste, and donated supplies to support families in need.
This year’s Harvest Festival at the Junior School brought together learning and action. Father Paul Reece visited to speak about the journey food takes from farm to table and the importance of avoiding waste. His talk encouraged pupils to think about how their choices affect the environment and how we can reduce food waste.
Families sent in a generous range of food donations, which were collected by the school and given to My Yard, a local charity that supports families facing hardship (www.myyard.org.uk). For many pupils, knowing their donations would go directly to others in the community gave the celebration a deeper purpose.
The festival gave the school a chance to pause and reflect, reminding pupils that small actions, taken together, can make a difference.
Thank you to all the families who contributed.
