Izzy has been awarded first place in the 12–15 age category of the Oxford Peregrine Prize for Young Writers, a citywide competition run by Oxford Writers’ House.
This year’s theme, Dreams, drew imaginative entries from students across Oxfordshire. Izzy’s story was praised for its originality and narrative strength, earning her top honours.
She received her award from the Lord Mayor of Oxford at a prize-giving ceremony held at Oxford Town Hall on 12 May 2025.
