On Wednesday 9 October, the annual Hispanic Theatre Festival at NLCS offered a dazzling showcase of student talent, with participants from several schools performing 10-minute extracts from Hispanic plays.
The event, held in front of an esteemed panel of judges, was a celebration of both theatrical creativity and Hispanic culture.
The festival featured a diverse selection of performances, making it incredibly challenging for the judges to select winners. Categories included Best Play, Best Actor, Best Actress, and a new addition this year—the Audience Choice Award. The performances ranged from classical Hispanic works to modern interpretations, each displaying the remarkable talent of the young actors.
We were delighted that NLCS students were awarded ‘Best Unique Theatrical Experience’ for their captivating extract from Gabriel García Márquez’s Crónica de una Muerte Anunciada.
Congratulations all the schools that participated, we look forward to next year’s 13th edition!
