North London Collegiate School today celebrates outstanding A level results from the Class of 2026, building on the school’s strongest-ever IB Diploma results earlier this summer.
This year’s cohort has achieved 49.5% A* grades, 81.3% A* to A grades and 97.4% A* to B grades, delivering an exceptional set of results that reflect the curiosity, ambition and dedication that define NLCS. These results are particularly noteworthy, with almost half of all grades awarded at the highest level. The proportion of A*-B grades also represents the school’s strongest performance in over a decade.
The Class of 2026 has distinguished itself not only through academic achievement, but through its intellectual curiosity, breadth of interests and willingness to engage deeply with the world around them. Throughout their time at NLCS, these students have embraced challenge, pursued new opportunities and made a significant contribution to every aspect of school life.

My congratulations to them on their fantastic results and on the wonderfully varied array of university courses they are now heading off to pursue. My thanks, as ever, go to their wonderful teachers, whose support has made all the difference across the years.”
Students are now preparing for the next stage of their academic journeys, with 85% of students securing places at their firm-choice university. This year’s leavers will join an exceptional range of universities in the UK and beyond. Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London and UCL are among the most popular destinations, while students will also be heading to leading international institutions including MIT and Bocconi.
The achievements of the Class of 2026 extend far beyond today’s results. They leave NLCS as thoughtful, independent young women, equipped with the confidence to ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions and pursue their ambitions with purpose.
As they take their next steps, we are immensely proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing the impact they will make beyond the gates of Canons.
