On Tuesday 11 February, NLCS hosted an evening to celebrate 20 years of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
The evening was a truly special occasion, bringing together current students, alumnae, current and former staff, as well as members of the NLCS community from our sister schools, to reflect on the impact and success of the IB at NLCS over the past two decades.
The event was an opportunity to honour the rigorous and holistic education that the IB provides, fostering intellectual curiosity, global-mindedness, and resilience among our students. A highlight of the evening was the Panel Discussion, which featured Old North Londoners (ONLs) who have studied the IB both at NLCS and NLCS Singapore:
- Amy Friend (NLCS Singapore, Class of 2023)
- Sachna Shah (NLCS, Class of 2008)
- Imogen Woods-Wilford (NLCS, Class of 2019)
Each of our panellists shared personal insights into their IB experiences, reflecting on the challenges, rewards, and lifelong skills gained through the programme. They also discussed how the IB shaped their academic and professional journeys, before answering questions and offering advice to anyone looking to study the IB in the future.
Following the panel, guests were invited to network and meet members of the NLCS community to reflect on the past 2 decades of IB excellence at NLCS!
