Careers Kitchen & Careers Convention

1 December 2025

Careers Kitchen

This term the Careers Department launched a new initiative, taking advantage of the Friday morning Fry-up in the dining hall to invite parents along to chat to some of the girls about their careers and answer questions in an informal setting.

Discussions so far have ranged from psychology, law and finance, to setting up a business and changing careers. We would like to extend our thanks to those parents that volunteered to help (even if we haven’t had time to invite everyone yet!) and look forward to more Careers Kitchens to come. The girls have found these events to be most helpful, and are very grateful to those of you that have been able to offer your time.

Meanwhile, our attention for next term turns to the NLCS Biennial Careers Convention, which will take place on the evening of Thursday 26th February and will be open to girls from Year 10 and above, as well as their parents. Please follow the link below if you might be interested in taking part in a panel discussion (whether about AI in the workplace or skills required for the future), or offering one-to-one advice to girls about your professional experience.
