There is a particular clarity to this moment in the academic year, when the direction of our students’ next steps begins to take shape. What emerges most strongly is the breadth of courses, destinations and ambitions reflected in this year’s university offers.
Students have enjoyed significant success across the UK, with 100% offer rates at York, Glasgow, Loughborough and Southampton. These sit alongside a further 22 offers from Imperial, 30 from UCL and 18 from Edinburgh. The range of institutions and subject areas highlights students who think widely, engage deeply and pursue their interests with purpose.
Within this wider picture, our Oxbridge applicants have also performed with confidence and focus. 38% of those who applied secured offers, 26 in total, across disciplines that include Medicine, Natural Sciences, Law, Biochemistry, PPE, Modern Languages, History and Engineering. The spread of subjects reflects a Sixth Form where students are comfortable exploring complex questions from several directions.
Creative pathways continue to play an important role in school life and our artists have been recognised with excellent offers from competitive Art Foundation courses. Their portfolios show thoughtful experimentation, steady craft and ideas developed with care.
Students pursuing international routes have also seen strong outcomes. In the United States, offers include Chicago, Davis, Irvine and Northeastern, as well as 2 places at Cornell, 2 at Columbia through the dual degree programme and an additional place at Purdue. Their choices reflect an interest in different academic cultures and a willingness to immerse themselves fully in them.
Across Europe, further offers have come from Sciences Po in France, Maastricht in the Netherlands, Bocconi in Italy and Valencia in Spain. Each represents a student thinking carefully about the kind of intellectual and cultural environment she wishes to join.
Congratulations to every student on a remarkable set of offers.
