Year 5 had a brilliant residential based at Preston Montford, where their learning really came to life.
Through visits to Ironbridge and the Black Country Living Museum, pupils were able to step straight into their studies of Victorian history and the Industrial Revolution, seeing for themselves how people lived and worked during this time. At Carding Mill Valley, they also carried out a hands-on river study, exploring the landscape and applying their geography skills in a beautiful setting.
It was a week full of energy, laughter and new experiences. Living in dorms, sharing meals and spending evenings together gave the girls a real sense of independence and community, with friendships strengthening along the way. From muddy fieldwork to exploring historic streets, they threw themselves into every moment with enthusiasm and positivity, making it a week to remember.
