Guest speakers
- Professor Sarah Hall – Economic Geographer and Professor of Geography and Fellow of St John’s College, Cambridge whose work focuses on the economic geography of China and the impact of Brexit
- Tom Clementi – CEO of Pool Re, the UK Government’s terrorism reinsurer, offering insight into how geography intersects with risk and resilience
- Sir John Scarlett – ex head of MI6, sharing a unique perspective on geography, intelligence and global security.

Together these speakers represent the public, private and third sectors, illustrating the real world reach of geography beyond the classroom – in business, policy and global affairs.
This is a student led conference and there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion such that students learn from the speakers and also each other.
