The NLCS Philosophy Conference is a large-scale academic gathering attended by a wide range of schools. It brings together leading thinkers, academics, teachers, and students for a day of rigorous intellectual exploration, centred on contemporary philosophical issues and classic questions that shape the discipline.

CSI: Science in Action Partnership Event
Students will step into the role of forensic scientists and detectives using scientific principles to solve a crime that has occurred at NLCS! Teaming up with other students, they’ll gain hands-on experience in labs, examining key pieces of evidence from the crime scene by applying real scientific techniques like hair, DNA and blood spatter analysis. This experience will develop their critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills so that by the end of the day, they can find out the truth and identify the culprit!

This year’s theme, Geography in Action: Power, Place and Global Change, examines how geography influences the modern world. It explores issues ranging from global economic change to international security and the geography of risk. Students will gain insight into how places, power and processes shape real-world challenges.
