Honorary ONL Ambassador, Jo Newman warmly invites our Honorary ONLs to join us on our first walking tour, Discover the City of London.
Led by Caroline Powell (former Deputy Head of the Junior School and now a London Blue Badge tour guide), the tour explores the City of London, where London began in 43 AD, tracing its rich history through to the present day. Now the financial “square mile,” home to the Bank of England and a host of global institutions, it offers a striking contrast at every turn – from modern glass landmarks such as the Gherkin and The Cheesegrater to medieval alleyways, Wren churches, and grand public buildings of the 18th and 19th centuries.
