A full and appreciative audience enjoyed an evening celebrating the music of Johann Sebastian Bach on Wednesday in the PAC.
Deni Teo started the evening performing the C-sharp Prelude and Fugue, followed by the String Orchestra performing movements from the Suite in D. Sasha Skovron and Kiara Kottegoda, with Suji Kim gave a wonderful and engaging rendition of the first movement from the 4th Brandenburg concerto, followed by a short talk on Bach by Dr Berryman. Katie Kwong ended the first half with an authoritative and enthralling playing of two movements from the Sonata in G minor. The senior choir joined by an orchestra of professional musicians alongside girls from NLCS performed Bach's Magnificat - conducted by Mr Haigh - valiantly and with energy and enthusiasm.
A lovely of evening of music making that showed how hard all the groups and soloists had worked to present such powerful music.
