Some highlights...

Set in 30 acres of parkland, the School combines all the beauty of a rural setting with the convenience of proximity to the heart of London. The facilities are first class, designed to offer the girls every opportunity to develop themselves academically, creatively and socially.

The Performing Arts Centre 2007

There is now a state of the art, 350-seater Performing Arts Centre, designed by an Old North Londoner, which sits in the centre of the School. There are art galleries and a cafe within the complex. The Performing Arts wing includes a Drama Studio for both rehearsal and performance: on two recent occasions the plays produced by the girls have moved on to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Music

Music is strong, with opportunities for all to take part in choirs and orchestras, and includes challenging music for the most able with such events as the National Chamber Groups competition in which the school has won the Founder's Trophy as the most successful competing school nine times in eleven years.

Sport

There are extensive lacrosse pitches and tennis courts and a Sports Centre with an indoor swimming pool and fitness suite. Students are selected to join teams at national and county level.

Academic

The school buildings are centred on the Old Mansion House where sixth formers are largely based. The main teaching block is spacious and well equipped with 12 modern science laboratories, language laboratories and a network of computers.

A fine new library on four floors was opened in spring 1999 and houses a huge collection books, videos and CD-ROMs.

Other facilities

Also on campus are a Music School, Drawing School and Design Technology block, all situated around a pond where water lilies in the summer make it an ideal place to relax during the long lunch break.

Junior School

The Lower School is accommodated in a self-contained building on the site with its own science and technology facilities, library and art room.

The First School is next door, and all three sections of the school enjoy close links with each other.

There is a Medical Centre housing the School's doctor, nurse and counsellor.
