1st Prize for Chamber Choir..

The Yr 7-8 Chamber Choir won joint first prize in the North London Festival of Music recently!

The Choir competed against a number of other schools in the area in St James’ Church, Muswell Hill. There was a great buzz in the church and some very impressive singing from a stunning choir, KAOS, some of whose members were deaf and all of whom signed every song!

The North London girls sang the beautiful folk song The Leaving of Liverpool followed by a rousing rendition of Chattanooga Choo Choo. The adjudicator, Colin Howard, was moved by the folk song and the tone quality of the choir which he described as “beautifully matched” and he found the choir’s performance of Chattanooga “vivid and fantastic”.

There was a chorus of screams from our girls when the choir were awarded the top prize. Representatives from the choir will collect the prize winners' shield on 18^th May.
