The Wind in the Willows was a resounding success on its opening night in the splendid Performing Arts Centre. It was a spectacular performance with over 45 girls from Yrs 6 and 7. Thanks to Mrs Podd's direction together and Mr Podd’s directing of the music, the performance of the Alan Bennett adaptation was brought to life.

The production has supremely witty and humorous acting as well as wonderful singing with the original thematic music. It has spectacular lighting and fabulous costumes which set the scene perfectly. The Wind in the Willows follows the adventures of Toad, Rat, Mole and Badger in their home on the river bank.

Alexandra Sharpe, who plays Toad, had a wonderful time performing. Amalia Morris, who plays Rat, agrees that the play has been ‘a great chance to make friends with the Year 6s’. All the hard work of the girls together with the multi-talented technical team made a night to remember.

Members of the audience commenting on the ‘wonderful costumes and make-up’ which portrayed the animals perfectly and proclaimed The Wind in the Willows to be a ‘brilliant show!’
