The National Curriculum Advisory Committee

Bernice McCabe has accepted the Department for Education's invitation to become a member of the advisory committee that will assist the Department for Education in its review of the National Curriculum.

Mrs McCabe has been invited in her role of Headmistress of North London Collegiate School and in recognition of the fact that she has more than 20 years experience of Headship of both state and independent schools and, prior to that, 16 years experience of teaching in mixed comprehensives in London and Bristol.

Although she has not been appointed in her role as Co-Director of The Prince's Teaching Institute, she will, however, be bringing the experience she has gained working closely with more than 1000 state school teachers and headteachers who have attended PTI Summer Schools and seminars over the last eight years.
