Over 2000 companies, comprised of more than 20,000 students, began this journey back in September and so to have reached the last 13 was a tremendous achievement for Forty Winks.
During the course of the three day event, the teams took part in a gruelling but exciting series of interviews with a panel of judges, culminating in a full presentation to a packed audience. Via video link, they received a message of encouragement from business guru Sir Richard Branson and were joined at the finale by the guest of honour, the Rt. Hon. Dr Vince Cable, MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Between the pressures of the interviews and presentations, the teams were able to enjoy the hospitality of Young Enterprise and event sponsors, HSBC, with a drinks reception on board the Cutty Sark and a gala dinner at the InterContinental. All in all, it was a wonderful experience for the Forty Winks team and a fitting end to a fantastic year of business achievement at NLCS.

"After all our hard work the UK final was a chance to reflect on everything that we have achieved in the past year. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet not only important business people, but get to know people our own age who stand a good chance of being the successful entrepreneurs of the future."
