ONLA BURSARY AWARDS

The Old North Londoners' Association is pleased to invite applications for its ONLA Travel Bursary and ONLA Academic Bursary schemes

ONLA bursaries are open to all ONLs and an application form and relevant guideline document are available to download.  Please click on the relevant icon below.  Hard copies are also available from the Alumnae Office in School.

The bursaries are designed to help ONLs with part of any travel (particularly for charity work) or academic study they might undertake. There will be a small amount of money available each year for the bursaries. A typical amount might be £250.

Should you have any queries regarding the academic or travel bursary scheme, please contact the alumnae office on onla@nlcs.org.uk

If you would like to contribute to the amount that is available each year to help ONLs, please contact the Alumnae Officer, Amanda Lovejoy at alovejoy@nlcs.org.uk

2010 AWARDS ANNOUNCED

The Old North Londoners Association is pleased to announce the following ONLs have been awarded an ONLA bursary in the award round 2010:-

Rebecca Choong-Wilkins (ONL 2010)

SOAS Mandarin Certificate.

 

 

Abigail Martyn (ONL 2005)

To assist with her studies in neurodevelopmental paediatrics in America at Emory University, Atlanta, Morgan University, San José  and at the 9th Annual Autism Conference in Santa Clara.

 

 

Laura Hanna (ONL 2005)

2 year acting course at LAMDA .

 

 

Holly O'Connell (ONL 2003)*

To assist with a 2 years Masters in European History at Birbeck.

 *Please note, Holly O'Connell is a member of the ONLA Committee and as a bursary applicant in 2010 was not permitted to be present at any meetings that took place in this regard and was excluded from any correspondence, discussions or decisions in connection with this year's awards.

 Travel Awards

Natalie Ellis (ONL 2009)

Two week  community building project in Vietnam, two weeks voluntary work with a Thai orphanage followed by four weeks teaching English.

 

 

Daisy Bard (ONL 2009)

Working with Emily Sadler's Book Bus project in Ecuador including community construction projects.

 

 

Jennie King (ONL 2009)

Working with Emily Sadler's Book Bus project in Ecuador, building new facilities for a school in Puerto Lopez and volunteering with an eco-tourism initiative.

 

 

Elisabeth Bean (ONL 2002)

To assist with her project ‘ Three Case Studies to Highlight Areas of Improvement in Pre-, Peri- and Post-Natal Care in Luganville, Vanuatu.
