The ONLA Annual General Meeting took place on 9th May 2009 in the Performing Arts Centre at Canons and was chaired by the President and Headmistress, Mrs Bernice McCabe.
A new constitution was voted in by members, replacing the previous one based on a 1987 version. The new constitution provides a more robust framework for the ONLA to work with and cements a relationship between the ONLA and the School that has lasted for over 150 years.
It ensures that all pupils at North London will join the ONLA in the future and that all pupils in the past who did not join will now be regarded as members and will not have to pay a subscription.
Retiring Committee Officers included the Secretary, Jane Cole, the Treasurer, Stacey Stewart and Editorial Secretary, Julie Alberg. Our grateful thanks go to all three for their tremendous efforts and support to date.
Two new Vice Presidents were elected and our congratulations go to Jane Cole and Barbara Nathan. Barbara Nathan has also served on the Committee in a number of roles in the past and we look forward to being able to draw on their advice and guidance as part of the new Advisory Council.
