On 20th March the U13 lacrosse team welcomed Upland County Day School to North London Collegiate. The touring American lacrosse team arrived at 6pm and were met with posters and smiles from the Yr 8 girls.
The host families took them home for dinner and rest. On Sunday we played a match against Uplands which we narrowly lost 6-7. After the game the Yr 8 North London parents kindly prepared a delicious tea consisting of sandwiches, salads, quiche, cakes and plenty more treats! We were, of course, able to use the fantastic new Sports Pavilion for this event.
The Americans were entertained on Sunday afternoon by their hosts who chose to take them to a variety of exciting London sights including the London Eye, Camden and the British Museum.
The sad goodbyes on Monday morning were enhanced by the lasting friendships that were made and the promise that North London girls will return to Uplands some time in the near future.
