Ruth Padel (ONL 1957-64) is a prize-winning British poet who has published seven collections of poetry. Through her maternal grandmother, she is the great-great granddaughter of Charles Darwin.
In conjunction with the 150th anniversary of Darwin, Ruth's new book will be published next month entitled Darwin- a Life in Poems. She we will be giving a reading from the book at Somerset House at 6:30pm on Monday 9th February.
Alongside this she also broadcasting a series called Darwin my Ancestor on BBC Radio 4 for the next four weeks.
