Harrow X-Country Championships...

29th January 2010


This week girls in Yrs 6 to 11 participated in the Harrow X-Country Championships at the Roger Bannister stadium.  Despite the cold and very muddy conditions the North London girls ran well and were very successful. Megan Wilson in Yr 6 won her race and the Yr 6 runners won the team event. In Yr 7 the girls also won the team event and Bronwyn Matthews finished in third place.

In the Junior (Yr8 & 9) competition Danni Newman (Yr 9) finished in first place and was closely followed by Xelia Mendes-Jones in Yr 8. The girls also won their team event.  The Inters' competition was  won by North London and and Yat-Wing Smart (Yr 11)finished in first place and Renate Fromson (Yr 11) finished third. All of the girls from Yr 10 and 11 who ran have been selected to run for Harrow in the Middlesex X- Country Championships on February 11th at Harrow School.
