On 19th March, the team from North London Collegiate came 3rd in the national final of the Bank of England Target 2.0 Competition.

They were required to give a 20 minute presentation on monetary policy and then answer questions from a panel which included three members of the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee and the Economics Editor from The Times.  They won a cheque for £2000 and each team member was presented with a mini laptop.

Their presentation was very well-structured and presented with great clarity. They answered the questions confidently and directly.  Furthermore, they overcame a major technical problem which would have caused most teams major stress: somehow the technician had managed to delete the last two parts of their powerpoint presentation!  However, the students continued not only without the slides but also without notes - a truly remarkable achievement.

The team members are:

Nadia Odunayo, Selina Parmar, Anika Shah and Emma Huberman

The team was assisted by Asha Patel (as a technical expert) and Mallory Combermale and Malavika Krishnan who were researchers.
