On Sunday 15th March a team of Yr 9 girls organised a disco in order to raise funds for Relay for Life. The tickets for the event were sold at a number of schools and the turnout surpassed all expectations.
The event was held at a nightclub in Notting Hill, Envy, a venue which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Each member of the team worked hard to make the event happen and though nerves showed at the beginning of the evening, everyone had a great time. Though the emphasis was on raising money, the idea was also to have a lot of fun at the same time. Each contribution, monetary, physical and mental, goes to show that every little bit can make a difference and working together as a team, on this night, proved that.
We would like to thank everyone who helped in making this “a night for a good cause”. Also a huge thank you goes to the banker, Amanda Lovejoy, for looking after the money. In total The Pink Ladies Team raised an amazing £1325!
