Yr 13 Spanish students went extremely far afield this year in their quest for linguistic and cultural knowledge. We travelled all the way to Buenos Aires in Argentina, where the girls attended language lessons every morning for a week and explored Buenos Aires in the afternoons.
Among the highlights were: a day trip to Tigre, a sub-tropical oasis outside the city, where we kayaked our way to lunch on an island; visits to the highly atmospheric districts of La Boca and San Telmo; and a glimpse of the ongoing historical legacy of the military junta, against which the ‘Madres de la Plaza de Mayo’ still protest every Thursday at 3.30pm.

Many thanks to Mr English for putting together such an exotic and enriching experience!
