Last night was the opening night of this year’s Middle School Play, the spectacular Snow Queen.
The Snow Queen is the story of Gerda’s adventures trying to save Kay from the evil Snow Queen. However, on her way she is held hostage by the Baroness of Spring, thrown into the insect-infested dungeons of the Summer Palace and kidnapped by the Countess of Autumn and her band of robbers.
The Yr 8 & 9 girls involved have put in a great deal of hard work and effort to make the show into the magnificent production that it is. The starring roles were played brilliantly by Katie Abrahams as the Snow Queen, Keshni Gudka as Gerda and Tanvi Punatar as Kay.
Many thanks go to the director of the play, Mrs Wettreich, and to the technical team whose set and lighting compliment the great acting of the girls. The eye catching costumes were the result of all Mrs Emden’s hard work together with some of the Sixth Formers' imaginative designs.
