There were two motions:
‘This House believes that children had more fun before electronic games.’
‘This House believes that fame is overrated.’
Girls from Yrs 5 and 6 took part in both of the debates; North London Collegiate School opposed and chaired the first debate but proposed the second. The girls narrowly won both of the debates, but the Akiva students just managed to sway most votes. The standard of debating was very high, the contributions from the floor excellent and the tea delicious!
