For the first time this year, North London Collegiate entered the English Schools Cross County Cup. Over 850 schools from around the country participate.
Last month, we competed in the Middlesex Round, in which the Yr 9 & 10 team finished 3rd. This meant they qualified for the South East Regional Round which was held on Saturday. The team, of Yee Yewt Smart, Kirstie Conway, Yat Wing Smart, Renate Fromson and Katie Schwarzmann ran exceptionally well in tricky conditions. They achieved positions that surpassed their results from the first round which meant that the team was awarded first place.
This is a fantastic result and means that the team have qualified for the National Finals which are going to be held near Loughborough at the beginning of December. We are extremely proud of the girls’ achievement and wish them the best of luck for the finals next month.
