Wednesday 29th May saw all Yr 10 students off-timetable for a morning of Careers-related activities. The course encouraged students to consider not only what employers are looking for but also how many of these skills they already have. Nine visiting speakers addressed the girls giving details of their professional lives including career paths, a typical day, qualifications needed to enter the profession and other advice on preparing for the workplace. We are most grateful to our visitors for giving up their time to work with NLCS students. They were fantastic role models for their profession and offered some inspirational ideas to our students. In the final section of a busy morning, the students took part in a workshop on how to write the perfect curriculum vitae and letter of application in preparation for their Work Experience applications in Yr 11.
